JULY 31, 2008 – Day 5: Glacier Nation Park, MT – 325 miles
- The Room at Tamarack Lodge
Today is absolutely beautiful. It’s the coolest it’s been the entire trip yet still comfortable. The plan for the day is to ride across the “Going to the Sun Highway” to St. Mary Lake taking shots all the way across, then return over the same route catching anything I might have missed on the way over. Everything went according to plan and I captured some of the most phenomenal images of the trip thus far.

On the down side, road conditions were less than perfect during a large portion of the ride. Road construction is ongoing during the summer months up here and roads can get pretty torn up in places. Mud and gravel roads don’t go well with big street machines so between the conditions and the Pilot Cars it made for a long, but truly magnificent day.
